IT Based Business Process

In accordance with BINUS UNIVERSITY’ motto, “Building-up the Nation’s Future by IPTEK”, BINUS UNIVERSITY consistently attempts to improve the quality of graduates by continuously applying the development of information technology in the curriculum and subject syllabuses without ignoring the conditions outlined by the government.

It is evident as in BINUS UNIVERSITY, courses related to computer are not only acquired in the faculty of computer science, but also in the Literature faculty, MIPA (Mathematics & Natural Science) faculty, Economic faculty, and Engineering Faculty. Besides, BINUS UNIVERSITY also works in cooperation with many parties in as well as outside the country, hence the science and technology taught are always the latest and efficiently applicable.

As an example, in 1997 was worked out a cooperation with PT. Indosat in the supply of infrastructures related to internet connection. In 1997 was also signed a cooperation with Progress and Oracle in the use of their products in BINUS UNIVERSITY environment. In 1999 was signed a cooperation with CISCO, turning BINUS UNIVERSITY as the first “Regional Networking Academy” in Indonesia. There is also a cooperation with Lotus International for the development of “illusion campus” concept.
